There's no Create calendar button

Why you can't create a space calendar, and who can turn it on.

Symptom​

In a space's Event Planner, there's no Create calendar button. You may see Your Confluence admin has turned off creating new calendars. or Your Confluence admin hasn't turned on calendar creation, or the app isn't licensed.

Calendar creation is turned off​

Cause: A Confluence admin turned off Let people create calendars in spaces on the app's admin page.

Solution: Ask your Confluence admin to turn it on. See The admin page.

The app isn't licensed​

Cause: Creating calendars needs an active license.

Solution: Ask your site admin to renew the license. See Licensing.

You can't add content in the space​

Cause: The button shows, but creating fails with You don't have permission to create calendars in this space.

Solution: Ask a space admin for permission to add content in the space.
