FAQ

Short answers to common questions about Event Planner for Confluence and Jira.

Can I show the same calendar on several Confluence pages?

Yes, with a space calendar. Create it in the space's Event Planner, then add the Embed space calendar macro to each page. A page calendar (the Event Planner macro) belongs to its own page. See Embed a space calendar on a page.

What's the difference between a page calendar and a space calendar?

A page calendar lives on one page, and the page's permissions decide who sees and changes it. A space calendar belongs to the space, has its own restrictions and version history, and can be shown on many pages. See Calendars.

Do I need to edit the page to add events?

No. Everyone who can edit the page adds and changes events on the published page.

Does Event Planner support recurring events?

No. Add each occurrence, or let an AI assistant write them with Create with AI.

Are people on an event notified?

No. People on an event aren't notified and don't get invitations. Export the events to ICS so people can add them to their own calendars. See Export events.

Can I sync Event Planner with Outlook or Google Calendar?

Not live. Export makes a copy of the events as an ICS or CSV file at that moment. Export again when the plan changes.

Who can delete events created by other people?

Everyone who can edit the calendar. Events have no owner. To stop changes, lock the calendar, or limit who can edit it.

Can I undo a deleted event?

Yes, for 10 seconds: select Undo in the Event deleted message. For a space calendar, you can also restore an earlier version. See Change or delete an event.

What's the difference between the work item panel and the dashboard gadget?

The panel's calendar belongs to one work item, and work item permissions apply. The gadget's calendar belongs to one gadget on a dashboard, and dashboard sharing applies. They're separate calendars. See Calendars.

Does Create with AI send my data to an AI service?

No. Event Planner calls no AI service. You copy a prompt into your own AI assistant and paste its answer back. See Data security and privacy.

Is Event Planner available for Data Center?

No. Event Planner is available for Confluence Cloud and Jira Cloud only.
