The Event Planner panel doesn't appear on a work item

How to get the Event Planner panel onto a Jira work item.

Symptom​

A work item has no Event Planner panel, or Event Planner isn't in its View app actions menu.

The panel hasn't been added to this work item​

Cause: You add the panel to each work item on its own, so a new work item starts without one.

Solution: Under the summary, select View app actions (the apps icon) > Event Planner. See Add a calendar to a Jira work item.

The app isn't installed on this site​

Cause: Event Planner for Jira is its own app.

Solution: Ask your Jira admin to install Event Planner for Jira.

You can't edit the work item​

Cause: Adding the panel needs the Edit work items permission. Without it, you still see a panel that someone else added, but you can't add one yourself or change its events.

Solution: Ask your Jira admin or the space admin for the permission.
