Change not saved

What each Change not saved message means, and what to do about it.

Symptom

After you add, move or change an event, the calendar shows Change not saved, and your change is undone.

Someone else saved at the same moment

Message: Someone else saved this calendar at the same moment, so your last change wasn't saved. Reload the calendar and make it again.

Cause: Event Planner merges changes people make at the same time. Rarely, two saves land so close together that it can't.

Solution: Select Reload calendar, then make your change again.

The event was deleted

Message: This event was deleted by someone else, so your change wasn't saved.

Cause: Someone deleted the event while you were changing it.

Solution: If you changed it in the event form, select Save as a new event in the message to keep your text as a new event.

No permission

Message: A message that you don't have permission, followed by Your last change wasn't saved.

Cause: Your edit access changed while the calendar was open, for example a space calendar's restrictions.

Solution: Reload the page. See I can't add or change events.

The app isn't licensed

Message: Unlicensed App, or Your last change wasn't saved: Event Planner isn't licensed on this site. Ask your administrator.

Solution: Ask your site admin to renew the license. See Licensing.

Anything else

Message: Your last change wasn't saved. Check your connection, reload the calendar and try again.

Cause: The connection dropped, or the calendar reached a limit.

Solution: Select Reload calendar and try again. If it keeps failing, contact support with a screenshot.
