This page lists what changed in each major version of Secrets for Jira and Secrets for Confluence, newest first.

Version 3 (May 2026)
- Admin page for all secrets. Confluence admins can see every secret on the site in one list, under Confluence settings → Secrets. You can search by page or secret name.
- Who created and who last opened a secret. The list shows when each secret was created, who created it, and who opened it last.
- Reset forgotten passwords. An admin can set a new password for any secret, so content is not lost when the password is forgotten.
- Delete secrets centrally. An admin can remove secrets that are no longer needed, without opening every page.
- New Spoiler macro. Hide a piece of text on a page until a reader clicks to reveal it. Useful for answers, hints and anything that shouldn't be visible at first glance.
- Up-to-date platform. Secrets now runs on the current Forge runtime and stores secrets in Forge's encrypted key-value storage.
Version 2 (December 2024)
- Password-protected secrets in the Secrets macro.
- Only people who can edit the page can add secrets.
- Unlock, view, edit, change password and delete a secret.
Version 3 (June 2026)
- Permission-aware panel. Only people who can edit the work item can add secrets to it.
- Refreshed panel. A clearer first screen for work items without secrets, and the same secret list and unlock flow as in Confluence.
- Up-to-date platform. Secrets now runs on the current Forge runtime and stores secrets in Forge's encrypted key-value storage.
Version 2 (October 2024)
- Password-protected secrets in the Secrets work item panel.
- Unlock, view, edit, change password and delete a secret.
