FAQ

General Questions

Why are there two separate apps β€” one for Confluence and one for Jira?

Atlassian's Forge platform requires apps to target a specific product (Confluence or Jira). ContentCraft is therefore published as two separate Marketplace listings. Both apps support the same 16 diagram types but each is purpose-built for its host product.

Do I need to purchase both apps?

Only if you want Mermaid diagrams in both Confluence and Jira. If you only use one product, purchase only the corresponding app.

Does ContentCraft work in Jira Service Management?

Yes. ContentCraft for Jira works on all Jira Cloud work item types, including those in Jira Service Management projects. The Diagrams panel is available on any work item you have access to.

Is there a limit on how many diagrams I can create?

No. You can create as many diagrams as needed across any number of pages or work items. There is no per-user or per-page quota for diagrams.

Does ContentCraft support all Mermaid diagram types?

ContentCraft supports 16 Mermaid diagram types. See the Features Overview for the full list. Diagram types added to the upstream Mermaid library after the app's last release may not yet be supported.

Can I export diagrams as images?

Confluence's built-in PDF and image export includes the rendered diagram output. In Jira, diagrams are displayed within the Diagrams panel and are not separately exportable as standalone image files at this time.

Who can see and edit diagrams?

Access is controlled by standard Atlassian permissions β€” see Permissions for details. No additional ContentCraft-specific roles are required.

Is ContentCraft available for Atlassian Data Center or Server?

No. ContentCraft is a Forge-based app and is only available for Atlassian Cloud instances.

Can I use Mermaid diagrams in Confluence templates?

Yes. You can add the Mermaid Diagram macro to a Confluence page template. When users create a page from that template, they will see the macro pre-populated and can edit the syntax as needed.
